Hello! My name is Marianna Colon. I am currently a first year nursing student on the traditional BSN track here at the University of Florida. My passion for nursing did not start until I entered college, but has grown every single day since being in the BSN program. Nursing carries a special place in my heart and I aspire to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and serve in the Air Force.

      I decided to study abroad in Grenada because service learning has always been an interest of mine. I strive to make myself available to others and help in any and every way possible. I have also wanted to view healthcare in other countries and Grenada was an amazing opportunity to do so. 

     Some background knowledge of mine includes: I am a military child but home to me is Jacksonville, Florida. I am a first generation college student and extremely proud to be a part of the Gator nation. Outside of nursing I am a studio art minor and enjoy all forms of art specifically painting and photography. I love hanging out with friends, attending church, and listening to all genres of music on vinyl. I am also a dog mom and spend part of my evenings walking her, and as always Go Gators!!
